The Quiet Craftsman

Few embody the grower-producer ethos as wholly as Guillaume Sergent. A trained oenologist and geologist, Guillaume tends to his four-acre vineyard entirely by hand — each vine understood through years of quiet observation.

After an invaluable chapter at Maison Louis Roederer, he returned in 2009 to his family domaine in Vrigny, where he now crafts a mere 4,000 bottles a year — true micro-production. His philosophy is one of restraint and reverence: to let the vineyard speak, intervening only when nature calls for it. The result is Champagne of remarkable purity, precision, and soul — an honest reflection of the land and the man behind it.
