Pinot Noix

Mosel, Germany

A New Expression of German Pinot

Based in Neumagen-Dhron, Daniel Twardowski is a respected wine merchant-turned-winemaker known for producing refined Pinot Noirs under the Pinot Noix label. In 2005, he began replanting Riesling parcels in Dhroner Hofberg with Pinot Noir clones from top Burgundy domaines, including Romanée-Conti and Ponsot.

His style has since evolved from structured and oak-driven to more nuanced and elegant, using a mix of new and seasoned French barrels. Grown on slate soils, his Pinots combine Burgundian finesse with Mosel minerality—distinctive, precise, and increasingly sought-after.
