Precision in Sauvignon
Jean-Philippe Agisson is a leading Loire Valley specialist in Sauvignon Blanc. He spent over a decade as cellar master at Alphonse Mellot’s Domaine de la Moussière in Sancerre before joining Domaine Didier Dagueneau in 2018, where he is lead winemaker today.
He founded Domaine Agisson in 2017, producing tiny quantities from 1 hectare in Sancerre and 0.5 hectare in Pouilly-Fumé. The vineyards are organically farmed with biodynamic principles, and the wines are made with hand harvesting, and extended élevage in neutral barrels.
The Pouilly-Fumé “La Belle Endormie” debuted in 2020, sourced from 35-year-old vines in Tracy-sur-Loire. Despite the estate’s youth, Agisson’s wines have quickly gained acclaim for their precision, delicacy, and harmony.
